You might call these two high fi stereo units twin sons of different mothers. Both units are manufactured by D&M holdings, the parent company of Denon, Marantz and Boston Acoustics. Both are AirPlay compatible audio units.

Affordalbe AirPlay Receiver from Pioneer.

Up to now the cheapest AV receiver with AirPlay on the market came from Denon and a not so cheap $999 in the form of the Denon AVR-991.
